REAP is excited to share some news!
We know that many of you already know and love Lisa Glickman. Lisa will be stepping into the role of Director of Education for REAP. Lisa has been heavily involved with REAP since 2015 as a Senior Literacy Leader. In this role she has trained, assessed, and coached hundreds of teachers, empowering them to transform their struggling readers. Before working with REAP, she taught in a 1st-grade classroom for more than a decade.
Lisa knows what it takes to help all readers succeed. She's certified through the IDA as a Dyslexia Practitioner and holds Associate Level certification with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
Lisa has hit the ground running in her new role, eager to participate in preparing proposals and planning projects. Lisa also serves as the Vice President of the newly founded The Reading League of Georgia (TRL-GA), with a mission to promote evidence-based reading instruction throughout the state.
And what about Carla Stanford, our existing Director of Education? Carla will be relocating to California for a few years to pursue doctorate studies. We will miss Carla very, very much (and we know you will, too), but Carla will remain on the REAP Board of Directors and will continue on as a consultant for REAP.
While we will miss Carla when she's in California, we’re excited that Lisa will have a chance to spread her wings and help REAP continue to accomplish great things.
